Bayala means ‘speak’ in local language
Local language is being reawakened, in a sharing and celebration of the Indigenous heritage of Sydney
Be part of the reawakening of the Aboriginal language of Sydney. Darug woman Aunty Jacinta Tobin and Gadigal man Joel Davison lead an introductory one-hour Aboriginal language class. Learn greetings, landscape and place names, body parts, and a song, which you can then perform at the WugulOra Ceremony on 26 January.
