21 JANUARY AT 3PM
This trio fuses hip-hop swagger with Latin folk tradition and powerful feminist lyrics.
Hailing from Argentine Patagonia, sisters Sofia and Clara Trucco and long-time friend Clara Miglioli formed a band to bring together the traditional music of their childhood with Latin rhythms, funk and hip-hop.
Singing stunning harmonised vocals, rapping, and playing acoustic guitar, the ronroco (Andean mandolin) and percussion, Fémina swing effortlessly from Latin sounds like cumbia, rumba and candombe to funk, reggae, and rap.
Their theatrical, passionate live shows are the stuff of legend, and Australia will be among the first places to hear the fruits of their forthcoming third album recorded with acclaimed soul-funk producer Quantic.
“Their sweet harmonies and passionate performance conveyed the meaning and emotion behind their lyrics, even for those who could not understand the language” Paste Magazine
