BAROQUE BANQUET ON 18 & 19 JANUARY. SHOW AT 6PM, BANQUET 7–10PM
Rembrandt Live is a theatrical encounter for the senses, marrying the treasures of Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum with baroque performance and music, directed by John Bell with musical curator Paul Dyer.
Immerse yourself in the splendour of the Dutch Golden Age as members of the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra perform amongst masterpieces of the 17th century.
At turns dramatic, evocative and light-hearted, this performance weaves through warmly-lit rooms of 17th century paintings: majestic landscapes, intimate portraits and meditative still life works, reflecting an intense observation of nature and sensitivity to subtle human emotion.
Matt Moran and Chiswick at the Gallery head chef, Tim Brindley, have designed a decadent baroque banquet, inspired by the flavours of the era, available for two nights only after the show.
Specific dietary options can be provided for Baroque Banquets if requested by the patron in the booking process, but traces of allergens or food types may be unintentionally present in food due to cross-contamination during preparation. Please direct any enquiries to ticketing@sydneyfestival.org.au.
Chiswick at the Gallery is also open for dinner exclusively for Rembrandt Live audiences. Add a dining package to your ticket purchase through Sydney Festival and enjoy a two course meal for $67 (+bf). See the full menu here.
