This Grammy-winning Estonian vocal ensemble meld modern music with Gregorian chant and early harmony compositions.

For 20 years Vox Clamantis has explored the possibilities of harmonising the human voice, celebrating the music of their homeland’s most beloved composer, Arvo Pärt, by combining his contemporary music with Gregorian chant and devotional music.

The ensemble’s relation with Pärt is a close one: their performance on the recording of his powerful Adam’s Lament won Vox Clamantis a Grammy Award for Best Choral Performance.

Under the inspired guidance of founder Jaan-Eik Tulve, the Vox Clamantis repertoire spans entire centuries, from Gregorian chant and Plainsong to diverse compositions by Helena Tulve, Franz Liszt, Erkki-Sven Tüü and John Cage.
